The Longford Marathon and Marathon Relay Courses

The Marathon & Marathon Relay course is a flat 1-lap course taking the runners through the counties of Longford, Roscommon and Leitrim.

The race starts and finishes on Ballymahon Street in Longford. Here is a map of the town center showing the start/finish points and some other important landmarks.

The marathon leaves Longford on the Strokestown Road, and runs close to the River Shannon, through the picturesque towns of Tarmonbarry in Co. Roscommon, Roosky which borders Counties Roscommon and Leitrim and Newtown-Forbes in Co. Longford, returning to finish again in Longford Town.
